Broadway Shows

It seems odd that most of my new yorker friends don't go to see broadway shows unless there're visitors. and i am one of them as well..:p Here are the few that i have seen from the past 12 years and recommended. Some of them might not even play in the theater anymore...

Billy Elliot

1/27/2011 a nite after a serious snow storm in new york, girl friends and i kept our date on, gear up with our snow wear... glad we didn't miss the show, it was a fascinating performance, especially the main character Billy Elliot (played by Jacob Clemente) i was very touched by his dancing and singing..

The Lion King

an unexpected performance to me, at first i was reluctant to see the show, thought this would be just for kids, but end up, i was impressed with it's costume, stage set up and of course the story and music.

De La Guarda (closed)

an Argentine theatrical troupe, soars 40 feet above the audience in this entertaining combination of circus and performance art. Suspended by cables, performers swing from the ceiling and occasionally scoop up audience members for a skyride. With great music, spectacular lighting, and a full-blown rain storm, this show is something you'll never forget.
The audience stands and moves throughout the entire performance. The show also uses water, mist, and fog.
